Lausanne, 14 August 2025 – The Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU) has issued a one-game suspension to New Zealand team head coach Facundo Policarpo for verbally abusing a referee. 

The incident occurred during the women’s crossover match between New Zealand and Brazil on 13 August 2025 at the World Aquatics Women’s U20 Water Polo Championships in Salvador, Brazil.
