Lausanne, 24 November 2025 – The Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU) welcomes the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport Anti-Doping Division (CAS ADD) in the case of Bolivian swimmer María José Ribera Pinto who had returned an adverse analytical finding for the Prohibited Substance Furosemide during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The CAS ADD sanctioned Ms Ribera Pinto with a period of ineligibility of sixteen (16) months, starting from the date of her provisional suspension on 8 October 2024. Additionally, all competitive results obtained by the athlete from 4 August 2024 have been disqualified, including the forfeiture of medals, points, and prizes.
