28 February 2025, Lausanne – The Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU) has provisionally suspended Mr. Toni Nasri Nassar, President of the Lebanese Swimming Federation, and Mr. Mhamad Hamdan, its former Treasurer, for potential violations of World Aquatics integrity regulations. These regulations prohibit corrupt practices, acts of misbehaviour, falsification of documents and providing false information.
The AQIU has taken this decision to uphold public confidence in the integrity of aquatics. During their provisional suspension, Mr. Nassar and Mr. Hamdan are prohibited from holding any position within World Aquatics, its Continental Organisations, Member Federations, or any recognised body. They are also barred from participating in, attending, or representing these entities in any capacity at any aquatic-related activities, events, or competitions.
As the case is ongoing, the AQIU will make no further comments during the proceedings.
